As you can see, being a data hoarder while having no money to be able to buy new storage media on whim is kinda bleak when you look at it. I have been using some of cloud storage that available to me for free for years, and now I think I shouldn't just let it be there for too long. Not only that having data in a place, more so it's online, is bad, but the place that I used to store it is now ran into problem.
I use OneDrive for Business as a bonus for my Microsoft Developer Program Trial for three years now, and it comes with 1 TB of online storage. It's almost full, around 95% of space has been occupied for my account.
But just about today, I noticed that I can't upload new files anymore due to my organization, or the organization for this account tied to is full on storage. I obviously not someone who physically in that organization or know anyone inside it or have an actual credibility to have the access, so I don't think I could ask for help even though the notice said I have to report it.
It leaves me one option, bring them back locally. But it comes with one more question, where I should keep it when I don't have a plenty of room on my local storage solutions?
My desktop HDD is only 500 GB and it's full, same goes with smaller IDE HDDs from my old laptop that obviously not gonna make it up anyway. And storing it on SSD feels like wasting its perks. So I guess have to buy a new one.
But looking at the current situation where prices are high for new replacements, I think aiming for used one, at least with higher grade isn't a bad idea.
